Higher sun protection factor (SPF) means better protection right? Not necessarily, various studies have shown that high SPF products may protect one from UVB (Ultra violet B) radiation but that does not mean that these products are blocking UVA rays. UVA rays penetrate the skin more deeply than UVB rays and as UVA rays are the ones linked to immune system suppression, skin cancer and the formation of wrinkles, these are definitely rays one wants to avoid!
